These recent paintings are to be seen as to some degree provisional pieces; hence they are untitled, and the photographs are of lesser quality. I have put them in to show my ongoing involvement with the themes found in the main set of pictures.

This is a painting in which some of the forms seem to dive out from the centre. It is a little larger and more complex than previous square pieces.

This painting carries on the theme of the empty middle, stated in the “Sides against the Middle” paintings. This is an attempt to further explore that idea in a larger format, with greater clarity and variety.
